Responsibilities

What ongoing activities is the role responsible for?

Facilitate the governance process by facilitating meetings, moving proposals to off-chain and on-chain voting, and ensuring quorums are met.
Maintain up-to-date records of governance decisions and publish meeting minutes.
Ensure transparency and effective communication of governance processes.
Foster community participation and act as a liaison between community members and decision-makers
Oversee governance tooling, ensuring that everything is functioning properly and that tools are meeting the needs of the DAO
Mediate and resolve conflicts within the community and governance discussions
Stay informed about DAO governance trends and propose improvements based on research and community feedback.
Manage the Gitcoin Community Proposal (GCP) initiative by tracking engagements and ensure that projects are being held accountable to their deliverables

What skills or experience are needed to perform this role effectively?

Strong understanding of blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, and decentralized governance.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Mediation and conflict resolution experience.
Experience in community management or related roles.
Familiarity with governance tools and platforms.
A commitment to the principles of decentralization and transparency.
Highly organized and detail-oriented.
